What are the best platforms to promote a new business product? As a new small business I have a Facebook page as well as listing the product (Energy Cleansing Salt)
Answer: Hey Bethany,
I would recommend setting up a simple eCommerce website with Shopify and then trialling a very small and very targeted Google Adwords campaign targeting just the keywords that describe your product ie, [energy cleansing salt] - make sure to include the square brackets as this will make sure Google only targets this keyword exactly not similar ones.
Facebooks organic reach (how many of your fans see your posts) is now down to 1% so unless you have advertising money its not a platform you should focus on initially as the conversion rates of people buying will be low (they're not actively looking for your product right now).
Answer: Hi Bethany,
Your marketing strategy has to depend on the type of business you're running. Firstly, list yourself on Google My Business - it's free and you'll get listed on the search site when anyone's looking for services like yours. Try to add as much information as possible so it's easy for people to contact you. Most people look for services online these days so it's also a good idea to set up a basic website. It doesn't have to cost much and it can really help in the long run. And if you can set up a newsletter every few months, it just helps stay in touch with clients and they know they can reach you anytime.
Answer: Thank you Sam! Your suggestions are great and I value the information you provided. I've already started putting things in place. Thanks again for replying!
